The Decisive Moment

An artist who relied on both spontaneity and what his own eye tells him, Henri Cartier Bresson detested cropping. To prevent his editors from liberally cropping his pictures, Henri Cartier Bresson sent his pictures with a black border—the frame he himself imposed at the instant he snapped the picture. Considering this, it is very ironic that the jumping man picture that he is best remembered for was one of only two pictures he cropped.

Salvador Dalí

Starting in the 50s, Dalí painted several of his subjects as composed of rhinoceros horns. According to Dalí, the rhinoceros horn signifies divine geometry because it grows in a logarithmic spiral.

Today I wondered about Amelia Earheart

"The most difficult thing is the decision to act, the rest is merely tenacity.  The fears are paper tigers.  You can do anything you decide to do.  You can act to change and control your life;  and the procedure, the process is its own reward."

I'm considering growing some wheatgrass

Supposedlyyyy 1 ounce of fresh wheatgrass juice is equivalent to 2.5 pounds of vegetables in nutritional value.  So, I meannnn...why not?

Nostalgia

I put this album cover up yesterday, but today I developed a few things I want to say about it.  Its 70 out, beautiful day and I went bicycle riding by the river side and it was beyond great.  This activity sparked a lot reminiscing of when I was little where I was always either rollerblading or on my bike.  The smells of the streets reminded me of when I was little for some reason, bike riding as well made me feel nostalgic and the way my hands felt after is something I would feel all the time when i was little and just the overall feeling of riding fast on my bike, i felt that liberty that I felt when I would do that on my block back in the day.  This album reminds me of my childhood as well and I passed a house that called my attention today and it has a little sign that said The Who Art, I don't know what it meant, but all tied together it was a great to day of feeling little again which is nice to do every once in a while.
