In Hebei, China, farmer Hao Xianzhang has successfully created and sold baby-shaped pears. Inspired by the bookJourney to the West, in which eating imaginary baby-shaped fruit leads to immortality, Hao attached fiberglass and plastic molds to young pears for six months to give them the baby shape shown in the photo above. So far, Hao has sold nearly 18,000 pears at 50 yuan (or $7) each.(From epicurious.com)
